A beautiful late evening shot of the Doulos tied up at Vivo City in Singapore during her surprise visit in December of 2008.

A closer view of the Doulos framed around her nice lines. This gives us our first good look at the plate work on her hull. It is easy to see where the plates overlap. The stem is new as well as the side decking above the cleats.

A side view of her bow and anchor.

The bow from waterline to below. You can just see the red curve of the bow going down to the keel.

A full frontal shot of the anchor still containing some mudding sediment from the Sentosa anchorage where the Doulos was waiting before taking her berth at Vivo City in Singapore.

A trivia buff's shot below. If you look above the name Doulos, between the far left porthole and the far right, you can still make out the original name, M E D I N A. Named after a river in Texas, Medina was the original name of the Doulos as she was built by Newport News.

A grazing shot looking up the hull of the Doulos towards the setting Singapore sun. A good view of her rivets and overlapping steel plates.

An evening view of the Doulos in Singapore.

A good shot showing the lines of her hull and again, emphasizing the overlapping steel plates of her 94 year old hull.

The stern of the Doulos. The top deck is the sheltered bookstore. The deck below with the mesh, is the children's play area and the lowest open deck above the counter stern is the well deck.

A beutiful shot of the Doulos' stern. It is hard to see from this photo but you can just make out Franca C which has been written over by the name Doulos if you look closely at the S in Doulos.
