Leisure World
Leisure World (ex-Skyward, ex-Shangrila World, ex-Asian World, ex-Fantasy World, ex-Continental World), another old lady who started her career plying the warm Caribbean seas, has made her way to Singapore to continue life in the burgeoning gambling trade. She is seen below passing Sentosa Island in the background on her way to the Straits of Singapore.

Built in Germany and launched in 1969, the Leisure World is the younger sister to the Orient Queen of Louis Cruise Lines. Both ships were built for Norwegian Cruise Lines, the original pioneers in revolutionizing the cruise trade out of Miami. Leisure World is oldest of 3 gambling boats based out of Singapore with the other two being the Long Jie ex-Sun Viking, of 1972 and Royale Star ex-Dimitry Shostakovitch of 1980. Below, you can see a closer view of her aft modifications where two levels have been added above what used to be her main pool. This has been specifically added to create more space for gambling.

New Century Cruise Lines operates Leisure World and the lines logo is prominently displayed on one of her twin funnels below. You will notice the blue paint scheme of the Leisure World comes up a third of the hull. As the ship sits sedentary at anchor for days on end, she tends to have a buildup of green algae on her hull. The blue paint helps to hide the unsightly buildup that would otherwise be glaring on an all-white hull.
With the golden refulgence of the rising sun, Leisure World arrives to Singapore Cruise Center on an early Monday morning. After her early arrival, she then departs mid-morning and is back out to her normal anchorage site located in the Singapore Straits just off the Indonesian island of Bintan. Gamblers itching for a game can take regularly scheduled fast ferry boats that provide return shuttle service several times each day.
