Pacific Venus

Japanese cruise lines have been slowly increasing their pressence and frequency of visits to Singapore in the last decade. Below is the Pacific Venus making her arrival to Singapore on an early Tuesday morning.

The 26,518 ton Pacific Venus was built by Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI Marine) in Japan in 1998. The Pacific Venus has a similar design to the 21,906 ton Delphin Voyager which was also built by IHI in 1990.

Curiously, the panoramic lounge on the funnel has extremely dark, almost black window tinting. This looks oddly similar to the dubiously blacked out windows of a Japanese karoke bar but certainly there is no coorelation.
