Crystal Serenity

Departing Singapore on a late Thursday afternoon in March, the Crystal Serenity leaves her berth at Singapore Cruise Centre. Having the superstructure perched far forward and with little incline from the Promenade (deck 7) to Penthouse/Bridge (deck 11), the Serenity has an awkward chunky feel.

Below is a nice view of the Serenity as she makes her way past Sentosa island towards the Straits of Singapore. Crystal has clearly maximized the superstructure for balcony (verandah) cabins. It is interesting to note how the life boats are nicely tucked into cubbyholes amidships, below the promenade deck.

The funnel, similar to the rest of the ship, is thick and functional. Although the Crystal Serenity might be not be the most aesthetically appealing ship from an external perspective, she is definitely an "aspire to" ship. She is the largest true luxury ship and with an unmatched passenger to space to crew ratio. She is near the top of our list of ships with which we "aspire to" sail.
